I get it! I’ve been there. I know how hard it is to feel like you’re giving everything at work but not getting anywhere. I work with HR professionals move from feeling stuck and unsure to knowing what they want and how to go after it. It does not have to stay this hard.

You’ve worked hard to get to where you are – studied hard, stepped up, stayed late and supported everyone.

And then doubt creeps in…

  • Maybe I’m just not cut out for leadership.
  • Maybe this is just how HR is – draining, frustrating and thankless.
  • Do I even have the energy to figure out what’s next and make a change?
  • What if I speak up and still get overlooked?
  • What if I try something different and it doesn’t work out?
  • What will people say if I admit I’m not okay?

So, you keep going – hoping things will get better on their own.

But here’s the thing: they won’t!

And I’m here to tell you that it does not have to stay this way…

  • Be taken seriously as a strategic partner, not just the go-to for problems.
  • Feel proud of the work you do – and be recognised for it.
  • Stop trying to do everything for everyone.
  • Get some energy back – for yourself, your family and your life outside of work.
  • Move forward – whether that is growing in your current role or changing direction altogether.

For some, this could mean making small changes to how you work right now.

For others, it’s about speaking up more, being noticed or getting ready for a new role.

And for a few, it means stepping back and figuring out a new direction that works better for you.
